Being an N Bar H member has a number of privileges, including monthly newsletters, discounts on class rates and other fees, and eligibility for year-end awards. Memberships begin the day you sign up, but are not retroactive - so if you become a member on June 1, your results from the May shows still will not count toward year-end points, but you will be able to earn points at the June, July, and August shows.

We offer two different kinds of memberships: active and inactive. Active members pay a lower membership fee and agree to donate a certain amount of time to the club (2 hours per year for single members or 4 hours for families); hours must be completed by the member (for individuals) or a family member (for families) by the end of the fall fun show (or the additional money paid to become inactive) or year-end awards will be forfeited and the member will be ineligible for active status in the following year. Inactive members have no time commitment, but pay a substantially higher membership fee.

The rates for 2008 are as follows:

4-H Members (Single Inactive): $7.50
Single Active: $10
Single Inactive: $30
Family Active: $15
Family Inactive: $40

Starting in 2008, a $10 late fee will be assessed on membership renewals received after April 1st.
